How do I set up Brikl?+

Send "Hi" to our WhatsApp number. We'll add you to your chat thread and you'll start tracking immediately. No app downloads, no sign-ups—just WhatsApp.

Can I use Brikl on WhatsApp Web?+

Yes. Everything syncs across your phone and web. Your data is the same everywhere. You can quote from your phone and check reports on your laptop.

What if I lose my phone?+

Your data is backed up to our secure servers. Log into your account on a new phone and everything is there. You can also export your data anytime.

Do I need internet all the time?+

No. You chat on WhatsApp like normal. Brikl syncs when you have internet, but your messages are saved locally first. Works offline too.

Can I have multiple businesses in Brikl?+

Yes. You can create separate business profiles and track each one independently. Perfect if you sell shoes and clothes both.

How do I start using Brikl?+

Send "Hi" to our WhatsApp number (+234 815 201 5555) or click the Start Free button on our site. We'll guide you through your first quote in 30 seconds. No forms, no downloads—just WhatsApp.

What if Brikl doesn't understand my input?+

Brikl understands natural language. Just chat like you're texting a friend: "Sold 2 phones for ₦150k" or "Quoted Emeka on credit for ₦50k". If it misunderstands, type "Correct:" and we'll fix it immediately.

What if I lose my phone?+

Your data is backed up to our secure servers. Log into your account on a new phone and everything is there. You can also export your data anytime from your account dashboard.

Does Brikl support voice and multiple languages?+

Yes to voice—send a voice note and we transcribe it into text automatically. For languages: we currently support English and Pidgin. Yoruba and Igbo support are coming soon.

Features & Functionality

How does Brikl calculate my profit margin?+

You tell Brikl your cost price once. Every time you quote a selling price, Brikl calculates profit margin automatically. No more manual math.

Can Brikl handle credit sales (I'll pay you later)?+

Yes. When you quote someone on credit, Brikl tracks it as "outstanding." You get reminders to follow up, and Brikl shows your collection rate. Banks love seeing 90%+ collection rates.

Do you store my customer phone numbers?+

No. Brikl only stores names and transaction amounts. Phone numbers stay private between you and your customers.

Can I generate invoices?+

Yes. For each transaction, Brikl creates an invoice showing date, items, price, and payment status. You can send it to customers or print it.

How often are my reports updated?+

In real-time. Every transaction you quote is immediately added to your monthly and annual reports. No delays, no manual updates.

Security & Privacy

Is my financial data safe?+

Yes. All data is encrypted end-to-end. We use the same security as Nigerian banks. Your data is never shared with third parties without permission.

What happens to my data if I cancel?+

It stays yours. You can export all your data anytime. If you cancel, you have 30 days to download everything. After that, we delete it per data protection law.

Can I delete a specific transaction?+

Yes, but we keep a record (banks require this). You can mark transactions as "amended" or request deletion for privacy reasons.

Do you share my data with banks?+

No. YOU download your report and share it. We never contact your bank or send data without your consent. Your data is yours.

Is Brikl compliant with Nigerian data laws?+

Yes. We comply with NDPC (Nigeria Data Protection Commission), FIRS (tax documentation), and CBN MSME guidelines.

Reports & Loans

Which banks accept Brikl reports?+

NIRSAL, LAPO, BOI, Access Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank, GTBank, FCMB, Ecobank, Opay, and 20+ microfinance banks. Basically, if they do MSME loans, they'll take Brikl reports.

How long do I need to track before I can get a loan?+

TEF grants need 12 months. NIRSAL AGSMEIS needs 6 months. LAPO needs 3 months. Start now and you could be loan-ready within 3-6 months.

What does a Brikl financial statement include?+

Complete Income Statement, Balance Sheet, 12-month performance summary, customer ledger, payment collection rate, and funding eligibility matrix.

Can I add my business registration details to my report?+

Yes. You can link your CAC registration and TIN. We auto-populate your report header with official business info, making it banker-ready.

Will my first report look professional?+

Yes, immediately. The first day you track 10 sales, your report looks like a professional business statement. Banks see it that way too.

Pricing & Plans

Is Brikl really free?+

Yes. Basic tracking, quotes, and monthly reports are completely free forever. Pro features (advanced analytics, investor reports) cost ₦2,499/month.

What's different in the Pro plan?+

Pro includes: investor-grade financial reports, tax compliance summaries, expense tracking by category, quarterly projections, and direct bank integration.

Do I have to pay upfront?+

No. Try free for as long as you want. Upgrade to Pro anytime. No contracts, cancel anytime. Most vendors stay free for 6 months, then upgrade.

What if I want to cancel my subscription?+

Cancel anytime in settings. Your free tier keeps working. You'll lose Pro features but keep all your historical data.

Is there a business plan for multiple people?+

Yes. Team plan is ₦4,999/month. Add 5 team members who can all track sales for your business. Perfect for shops with assistants.

Troubleshooting

Why isn't Brikl showing my recent transaction?+

Give it 5-10 seconds. Brikl syncs in real-time. If still missing, check: (1) Internet connection, (2) You quoted it to Brikl chat, (3) The date is correct.

How do I correct a mistake in a transaction?+

Message Brikl: "Amend transaction #123 to ₦50,000". We'll update it immediately and your report recalculates automatically.

What if Brikl chat disappeared?+

Just send "Hi" again from our WhatsApp number. Your account is safe—you'll see all your previous data immediately.

Can I transfer my data from another tracker to Brikl?+

Yes. Send us your old records and we'll import them. Takes a few hours. After that, all new sales track in Brikl.

Why does my collection rate look wrong?+

Collection rate = money you've collected / total invoiced. If you have large pending payments, it temporarily lowers. Follow up and collect to raise it.

Loans & Funding

How do I apply for a NIRSAL loan?+

Generate your Brikl report, download it, then visit NIRSAL.com or your nearest NIRSAL MFB. They'll review your 6-month history and you're likely approved.

Can I apply for multiple loans at once?+

Yes, but banks talk to each other. Use multiple loans smartly: NIRSAL for stock, LAPO for working capital, TEF for growth. Banks prefer you focus on one at a time.

What if my numbers are too low for a loan?+

Keep tracking. After 3-6 months of consistent sales, your numbers will look stronger. Many vendors qualify after 6 months when they didn't after 3.

Do I need collateral for a Brikl-backed loan?+

NIRSAL and LAPO usually don't need collateral if your numbers are strong (₦5M+ annual revenue, 85%+ collection rate). Some ask for guarantors.

What if a bank rejects me?+

Usually it's because: (1) Too short history (less than 3 months), (2) Low collection rate (below 70%), (3) Seasonal business (needs 12 months). Keep tracking and reapply.

Account & Billing

How do I change my business name?+

Go to Settings > Business Info > Edit Name. Changes apply to all future reports. Old reports keep the old name for record-keeping.

Can I pause my subscription?+

Yes. Message "Pause" and your Pro subscription pauses for up to 3 months. Your data stays safe. Resume anytime.

What payment methods do you accept?+

Bank transfer, Opay, Paystack. We accept all major Nigerian payment methods. Auto-renew is available too.

Who do I contact for help?+

Reply in your Brikl WhatsApp chat or email hello@brikl.app. Response time is usually under 2 hours during business hours.

Do you have a phone number I can call?+
